Adding the concept of 'interculturality' to tomorrow's entrepreneurship
Belgium based 'Living Stone Centre of Competence for Intercultural Entrepreneurship' is founded in 2005.
The centre is born from the coupling of the University of Leuven tradition of entrepreneurship practice and research to the expertise and field experience of Joker sa, pioneer in sustainable tourism, established on four continents. HIVA, K.U.Leuven's Interdisciplinary Research Institute for Labour and Society is the academic partner. In 2007 two partners join the Living Stone-initiative: Cera, a cooperative financial group becomes a shareholder, KBC bank insurance group supports. In 2009 the Flemish government embarks on a new future plan 'Flanders-in-Action' and supports the centre to strengthen the basis for its international ambitions.
The Living Stone Centre combines theory and application in a highly tangible and practical manner. In order to stress this dual aim, the centre is the practical make-up of two legal entities:
